Have you noticed the fun new Lyrics feature in Spotify? Now fans have lyrics to any song on the platform at their fingertips... well, almost. While most song lyrics are included, sometimes a chorus is missing or the lyrics don't scroll in karaoke style - let me show you how to fix that!

In desktop view, click Lyrics to the right of the song time

Maybe it says "Woops I forgot lyrics to that song..." or  "Ok.. don't shout it but Justin Bieber just stole these lyrics." or "Lady Gaga borrowed our lyrics and is using them as a hat." - enough fun and games, Spotify!

Now, let's get that hat back!

Click Edit Lyrics or Add Lyrics Now

Typing lyrics? Make sure to use punctuation to mark line breaks

Ready to sync to the music? Use the keyboard or click on the lines when you hear them. If you want to add an instrumental break or edit lyrics, you can do that during the syncing process too.

Hover over a line and you'll see a - / + on the left. Delete the line with - or add space for a new line or instrumental break by clicking +

To fix a typo or add words to your new line, click the pencil icon on the right of the line and when you're done, simply press enter

Don't like your timing to the music? You can click back one line at a time and try again!

Now save and sing along! (It's pretty satisfying to watch the lyrics you added scroll by, I'm not gonna lie)

Is your song an instrumental and you don't want Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga getting in the way? Click the ... icon next to Add Lyrics Now button and Flag As Instrumental

Sing along to the songs shown above: Over The Edge, Test of Time, Fuel The Fire
